Banraw is a startup from Erode, Tamil Nadu, started to upcycle banana stems into useful products.

India is one of the world's largest banana producers. After each harvest the stem is cut down and usually left to rot or burned. Banraw Industries Pvt Ltd was set up to put that fibre to use.

We buy stems from local farms, process them into Banraw Peat, and supply growers and distributors abroad who want a consistent, renewable substrate.
